In 1941, Sophie Berezinski was a woman on a mission. She had immigrated to the United States from Russia and was carrying a heavy burden: 2,000 solid copper mugs. Sophie’s father owned and operated a copper factory in Russia known as the Moscow Copper Co. Back in Russia, Sophie had created the design for the original copper mug that is now so famously linked to the Moscow Mule cocktail. Her father ran the presses that stamped out the mugs.
Sophie couldn’t bear to see the solid copper mugs she had designed and manufactured with her father end up in a landfill. She began desperately seeking out a buyer, walking door to door in Hollywood in search of a restaurant or lounge owner interested in the mugs. During one of her long days in search of a buyer for the mugs, fate intervened at the famous Cock ‘n’ Bull pub on the Sunset Strip.
The late Jonathon and Debbie Medina Gach, co-founders, met in business and built a relationship which turned into love. They discovered they had mutual interests and passions, one they decided to pursue was their love for tequila.
After 30 years Debbie and her husband Jonathan traveled to Mexico to reunite with her father, Señor Rio. It was an emotional reunion and to help break the ice, her dad offered them tequila in a simple bottle with no name or label. He explained how he made this fine tequila and that the process went back three generations in his family. They shared his small batch of the best premium tequila and their life stories, bringing them together as a family. The next day they were amazed at how good they felt, no hangover or headache especially after drinking the entire bottle. When they returned to Arizona, Debbie and Jonathan thought what if…
Born on Cinco De Mayo 2009 in the little town of Tequila, Mexico. The first shipment arrived in Gilbert, Arizona on May 29, 2009. Jonathon designed the beautiful bottle and for their logo they selected an old photo of Debbie’s dad. It now sits on every bottle and is known as the man with the hat or Señor Rio!
Señor Rio Tequila should not be hurried, it should be enjoyed with your family and close friends sharing your life stories and creating your memories.
“It is in the spirit of family and tradition that we proudly bring to you Señor Rio Tequila.”

Cierto Tequila represents thousands of years of biological and cultural evolution.
It is nature’s ritual in a glass –no additives, no artificial ingredients, no shortcuts.
Our Master Distillers, Enrique Fonseca and Sergio Mendoza, are fourth and fifth generation agaveros, whose family has grown agave since the 1800s.
Like fine winemakers who farm the land themselves, their growers' lens and deep knowledge of agave make for the best tasting Tequila.
The truth is right here in Jalisco.
Cierto is made with fully mature, estate-grown agave from the Atotonilco Highlands, where the ancient red clay soil coaxes its roots to grow deeper and absorb its complex minerality.
Enrique and Sergio personally tend to each orchard, harvesting plant-by-plant only when they recognize it has reached its potential, at the Maduro and Pinto stages.
At La Tequileña distillery in the town of Tequila, agave is hand-cut and slowly cooked in low pressure ovens to yield the juice that forms Cierto's base.
Inspired by Scotch whisky-making, we distill twice, in copper pots and column stills, to showcase the natural character of the terroir and agave.
Cierto is made with pure water filtered through ancient volcanic springs at the Volcán de Tequila.
Only natural ingredients are used: water, yeast and agave. Nothing artificial is ever added to Cierto.
It takes time to perfect a great Tequila.
Our aged tequilas are gently matured in French Limousin oak casks which previously held fine wine, cognac and Armagnac – persuading the agave’s delicate essence to emerge.
Each blend includes rare tequilas from the Fonseca family’s private tequila library, a vast collection spanning a variety of cellar characteristics.
Cierto Tequila represents thousands of years of biological and cultural evolution.
It is nature’s ritual in a glass –no additives, no artificial ingredients, no shortcuts.
WELCOME TO A BRIGHTER SIDE OF TEQUILA
WHERE THE SUN SHINES. LOVE REIGNS. AND TEQUILA POURS.
Milagro Tequila was founded in 1998 by two wide-eyed college friends who decided to take a chance and create a tequila that reflected the bright, vibrant, artistic world of Mexico City. To bring their vision to life, they sought out Pedro Juarez, one of the most distinguished Master Distillers in Mexico. For Pedro, creating a modern tequila meant taking full use of tradition - starting with the agave itself.
We’ve been crafting our single malt since 1843, when farmer William Matheson and his wife Anne followed their dreams and founded the Glenmorangie Distillery. Our whisky makers have been dreaming up wondrous whiskies in the very same spot, ever since. For us, creativity takes a community. Designing delicious whiskies requires constant watch over our tall stills, and skills built up over generations. These men and women are deeply versed in our anything-is-possible style of whisky making. Truth be told, we couldn’t create Glenmorangie without them.
Since 1818, Libbey has been the vanguard of artistry and innovation in glassmaking. From our roots in Toledo, Ohio, to our place as a worldwide total tabletop leader, we continue to empower chefs, mixologists and home entertainers to craft moments that matter with beautiful and durable tabletop products.
The Hiram Walker Distillery is the most southerly in Canada, giving it a unique climate for aging whisky. It’s also the largest by square footage in North America, processing 100,000 metric tons of corn per year, 10,000 metric tons of rye as well as wheat and barley. It has 19 grain silos which hold 750 metric tons of each grain, and 39 fermentation tanks standing four stories high and processing 40,000 gallons of spirit per day. There are 2 column stills 5 stories high, with a capacity of 55 million liters of alcohol per year; 37.5 million liters will go into whisky fills. 1,300 barrels are drained and filled daily and then rest in 16 warehouses that are 480 ft. x 200 ft. x 20 ft. Inside, barrels are staked 6 pallets high with 600 barrels per row. The warehouses are aging over 1.6 million barrels at any given time. Hiram Walker bottles 5 million cases per year.
Here’s a little known fact: JP Wiser’s is Canada’s oldest continuously produced whiskey, established in 1857. How about another nugget of info? It’s award-winning. I love this brand, not only because it’s founder, John Philip has the same initials as yours truly, but because it makes a delicious Canadian Old Fashioned. What’s that, you ask? It’s maple syrup, bitters, JP Wiser’s (try it with the triple barrel rye OR the 15 yr). Yum. Check out jpwisers.com and on instagram - @JPWisersWhiskey

Ferrand Dry Curacao is a French handcrafted orange liqueur created to revive the authentic taste of 19th century cocktails and cuisine. This take on a classic comes from Maison Ferrand owner and Ferrand Cognac Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel, in consultation with spirits historian David Wondrich. Ferrand Dry Curacao was awarded 97 points and a Chairman’s Trophy from Ultimate Spirits Challenge, and Double Gold at San Francisco World Spirits Competition. A true staple in the 19th century, a spoonful of orange liqueur is a must-have in every modern-day kitchen and bar. Cheers to Ferrand Dry Curacao.
Three spirits come together to give a balance of flavour like no other. Grain whiskey gives sweet flavours. Malt whiskey gives fruit flavours. And pot still whiskey gives spice flavours.
As the original triple blend Irish whiskey, Tullamore D.E.W. celebrates the beauty of blend. We believe the blending of cultures, thoughts & ideas makes the world infinitely more interesting, creative and inclusive. Our work extols the virtues of blending, of breaking down barriers, of embracing and celebrating the beauty of us.
Shot by the acclaimed director Valentin Petit through Division Paris, the brand enlisted the help of up & coming MC artists and poets, asking them to express their own unique interpretation of the power of blend.
ABOUT PROOF & WOOD VENTURES, INC.
At Proof & Wood Ventures, Inc., we invest in and develop spirits brands, and age our own spirits. Our core business is sourcing and bottling fine American whiskies, but we also import other high-quality spirits from around the world that were not available in the US previously. Founder Dave Schmier is delighted to be able to create both cocktail-friendly bottlings for value-focused bartenders and high-end collectors’ editions for connoisseurs.
Our name comes from the two things we control as a blender and finisher of fine spirits, and the two things that are incredibly important to any spirit’s flavor: the proof it’s bottled at, and the wood of the barrel we age it in.

We could lie and tell you that DE-NADA was born from a prophetic vision, received on a mountain in Jalisco, Mexico. But the truth is, our tequila was born from more humble beginnings. It was born in New Orleans, Louisiana.
At Tulane University, we became fast friends during freshman year, bonding over entrepreneurial ambitions, a mission to give to the causes we cared about, and a serious love for tequila. We spent a lot of time draining bottles and debating their qualities: smoothness, color, flavor.
None of the brands we tried truly resonated until Danny came home with a glint in his eye, a curious bottle, and some pretty epic claims. He said he’d discovered the “perfect” tequila. He even called it “the one”.
Although it was expensive and out of a college freshmen’s budget, Adam agreed that it was the ultimate tequila. So smooth he tossed the lime and salt and forgot about those chasers. Then we had our lightbulb moment — a fresh and young tequila brand, made by Millennials for Millennials.
Because we couldn’t find anything like it, we thought we’d launch our own. Determined to meet the makers of that flawless tequila, we soon found ourselves in the Highlands of Jalisco, learning industry secrets from a family of 5th generation growers and distillers.
At the Vivanco estate, we knew we’d uncovered the best tequila in all of Mexico, and we couldn’t wait to share it. Bonding over some of the finest tequilas in the world, it became apparent that this esteemed family shared our values of quality, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.
Over a toast, the Vivanco’s agreed to produce DE-NADA, creating a proprietary blend that would shake up the market. DE-NADA was born from that epic journey. And we’re here to gift it to the world.
Grab your crew. Split a bottle. DE-NADA.
A keen outdoorsman, Curt Mast needed a bottle that would stand up to heavy-duty use. To find the perfect candidate, he dropped different shaped bottles onto his oak floor until one survived. From pragmatic to iconic: more than 80 years on his easily recognizable square-shouldered bottle is still a standout in bars and clubs around the world.
The sea is everything! Inspired by the invigorating coastal air and the endless mysteries of the sea, HENDRICK’S Master Distiller Ms. Lesley Gracie considered a bold possibility: expressing the glorious sensory delights of the sea, in a gin. And so began HENDRICK’S NEPTUNIA.
HENDRICK’S NEPTUNIA is a limited release that captures the magic of the sea, in a gin. Ms. Lesley Gracie's creation is as refreshing as her muse, the mighty waves that lash the Ayrshire coast. Infused with an exquisite blend of locally sourced coastal botanicals and with a remarkable crisp citrus finish.
At Spirited Hive, we’ve been busily infusing and imbibing delicious honey-based cocktails. Artfully crafting the perfect flavors that complement our favorite spirits. Not a bad job right? All-natural, ready-to-drink cocktails made for friends who are ready to drink. One buzzy sip at a time.
Enjoying Ferrand Cognac means not only partaking in a delicious moment, but partaking in a moment of sharing what impassions us to create these unexpected elixirs capable of bringing forth remarkable emotions.
Based in Klagenfurt, STROH Austria is one of the oldest producers of spirits in Austria, known by the STROH Original Inländer Rum, which everyone in Austria affectionately just calls STROH Rum.
1832, when Sebastian Stroh distilled his first schnapps in St. Paul in the Carinthian Lavant Valley, he laid the foundation for an Austrian story of success. For more than 185 years now, the spirits from STROH have been convincing with their authentic and aromatic taste. Today, STROH Inländer Rum is a spirits specialty that has found its permanent place in kitchens and bars in more than 40 countries around the world. The export share in 2019 is 75 percent, with most of it being shipped to Germany, Scandinavia, South Africa, the Benelux countries and travel retail.
Harold Burstein, managing director of STROH Austria: “STROH is an all-rounder. We have found a home in many places, from Christmas markets to international award winning cuisine as well as from skiing huts in the mountains to trendy bars, for example, in Cape Town. In Austria, the familiarity with STROH is certainly an emotional story. It combines STROH with the memory of the pleasant scent and the delicious taste of pastries and biscuits from our childhood. For generations, STROH signifies baking tradition and the art of confectioners, which made the Austrian pastry cuisine - along with the coffee house culture - internationally popular. We are proud of that.”
STROH Inländer Rum owes its fame not only to its unmistakable aroma, but also to the historic bottle with the orange label. The typical curved hip flask comes from the American Prohibition period, when it was important to be able to easily hide the delicious good on the body and transport it unnoticed. Today, the STROH bottle is a design icon in the world of spirits, whose design dates back to the relaunch in 2004 and has since gained international attention. The consistent bottle design has undoubtedly contributed to the high brand awareness in Austria and abroad. Many tourists take STROH Rum with them as a popular Austrian souvenir to also experience “The Spirit of Austria“ at home.

JONATHAN: We’re Trying Denizen Rum these days, delicious, right dad?
JEFFREY: Yes, but did you know that this is a rum brand whose very name is inspired by the Latin word Deintus meaning…
JONATHAN: “from within”, yes I actually knew that. And it is commonly used to describe free-spirited people who travel the world in search of new experiences. Kind of like you, Dad.
JEFFREY: And Denizen Rum does just that by sourcing and blending unique small batch rums from throughout the Caribbean to create richer, more distinctive rums layered in character and flavor.
JONATHAN: I love the tropical fruit notes in the rum, don’t you.
JEFFREY: Sure do, Jon.
